Your Fitness Plan for Fall
We are entering the last couple of months of 2020. We will soon be celebrating the holidays and enjoying all the yummy foods that come with it. This year has been especially hard so those indulgences will be more tempting. But I am here to tell you that you can use this time to turn over a new leaf just as the leaves are falling. You can take time to focus on your health and wellness. You don’t have to wait until January 1st to make resolutions for your fitness and diet goals.
Start by sitting down and making a plan of what you want to accomplish and what is your why. Essentially you want to focus on what your motivation is for getting and staying healthy. Look at the big picture of where you envision yourself in 3, 6 and 9 months from now.
Now that you have those big goals and vision in mind, break it down further. Choose some smaller milestones that you can achieve in the short term. It could be something as simple as getting an hour extra of sleep a night or trying one new workout a week. So, you will then have your goals, your why and the milestones to achieve those goals.
Then take these goals and milestones and put them on a calendar so you can see exactly when you need to be working on these action items to achieve your goals and the milestones leading up to these goals.
Next choose an accountability partner that will keep you on track. It is a proven fact that you will stick to your plan if you have someone to do these new routines with. Whenever you are tempted to veer off the path and give up, they will be there to motivate you and keep you on track.
